Just a note on stuff

I've always found the following to be very poignant.   People learn:

10% of what they read.
20% of what they hear.
30% of what they see.
50% of what they see and hear.
70% of what they talk over with others.
80% of what they use and do in real life.
90% of what they teach someone else.

Application to gaming?  If you really want to know a game, teach it to someone else.  You'll learn a ton and so will whoever you are teaching.  Which is why GMs often seem the most knowledgeable at the table.
